Dominican Republic GPS Map Navigator App Reviews

Crash/broken in iPhone 4.

I am sorry to say that this app is not functional. It does not work and does not do what is advertised, and it is very crashy. I was on a trip to Dominican Republic and tried the app many times, and nothing works as intended.

This is the worse app ever put on the App Store for sale. Im here in Santo Domingo and decide to purchase this app so I could locate myself since the TomTom maps doesnt support the DR. It simply doesnt work, period. I dont know how the guys at apple approved this app for sale.

App crashes every time. Cannot believe apple doesnt check this before it becomes available! Save your money!

Just finishing installing App on IP4 32 GB, with IOS 5.0.1 and every time I want to minimized it to look for a location that is more than 50 KM away it crash and goes out of App. Will try contacting developer for solution, but as of right now, dont like it that much.

Slow laggy and too expensive. Would suggest at 99c as there are no other options I have found but 10 bucks is a rip off for this

I felt taken, I would fell better if I have donate $ 10 to charity. This is a total ripoff,stay away from it as is totally useless. Tony

The app crashes a lot.. its VERY slow.. You CANNOT search for a street or an intersection or an address. Its a does navigate properly but it is just not properly made, they should have done more work before releasing this bc its NOT an app I would reccomend at this point. Hopefully they will do some updates and get things working better!!!

Im in the DR right now and this app is totally useless. It crashes every time I open it!

Is no working at all, the guide dont work nothing work, i want my money back it cost 10.85 for somethin that don,t work.

Terrible a waste of money do not buy app does not show street names difficult to navigate.

This app shuts off by it self very quickly. You have to start at some random city, then when you try to scroll to where you want to look at other places, it shuts down. Very disappointing. Just wanted a good map of the dominican to use off line for a upcoming vacation. this one IS NOT IT. What a waste of ten bucks.

Im not too familiar with the roads but this app definetly helps out. I think its still a work in progress but GPS tracking is spot on and it comes with a good amount of Points of Interest of Dominican Republic. I will be using it for my road trip around DR

App dont work as promoted I was on D.R. For 10 days and never work even when I was connect to wifi. Hated I am trying to get a refund or Credict.

This is an Horrible APP needs a lot of sophistication! Until this APP is not modified to standards dont waste your money.

Purchased this app for navigation instructions from La Romana to Santo Domingo. This app is very basic and provides bare minimum guidance and turn instructions. Enough to say that it got me lost in Santo Domingo. Save your $10 and spend on cellular data to use Google Maps. Thats what I had to use to finally get to Colonial City.

wasnt able to download coz it 100mb instead start using google maps that works perfect in dominican google maps are inside of chrome

Summary: we rented a car and drove all over the country. This app made our travel around the Dominican Republic so simple! It has a few glitches, but once I understood how to get around these glitches, using it was very efficient and getting to destinations was simple. I have never owned a GPS device, so I have nothing to compare to, but this app was worth the money. Used it on the iPhone 4S and iPad 3. Worked exactly the same on both. The pluses: -Direct and easy to follow routes to destinations. -If you make a wrong turn, getting back on the right route is very easy. -In most cases it knew one-way roads, which was priceless in the colonial zone of Santo Domingo. -Major landmarks such as supermarkets, gas stations, important historical sites, and others are marked and easy to find. The minuses: -when the route has many turns, the GPS navigation lags. I found it easy to use when breaking up the route into smaller chunks so lag was minimal. -Once in a while the GPS would take a while to pinpoint our position when starting the app. -The app is programmed to know major locations. If youre looking for more quaint destinations, youll have to know the address rather than look the destination up by name in the search function.
